She weighed 1 pound 4 ounces and was given zero to five percent chance of survival. Danielle overcame various negative reports, such as being brain damaged but inspite of the odds against her here she is alive and no health complications.

Danielle Vassell is a motivational speaker, author, and film producer. In May 2020 Danielle released her first short film Defying The ODDS; Women of Impact. Her film Defying The ODDS, discusses the intimate journeys of five young women of colour who defied the ODDS in various fields. The film aired on Sky 193 Vox Africa in 2020 to 130 million people worldwide!

Danielle also recently released her podcast Tiny Tots Defying The ODDS. Which sheds a light on the personal and medical experiences of parents and preemies in the NICU. In a series of heartfelt and informative conversations.
